In this video, I take on the trails of Mt. Pines, capturing the stunning scenery and exhilarating rides through my eyes (and my GoPRO 11!). From challenging terrains to serene forest paths, Mt. Pines offers an incredible experience for any mountain biking enthusiast. Mt. Pinos boasts the highest starting point for any Southern California climb (at 3,863') and the second highest finish point at 8,345' (just 98' below the granddaddy of So. Cal. finishes, Onyx Summit). This climb averages 5.6%. The steepest quarter mile of this climb is 11% and steepest continuous mile is 10.3%. 1 miles of the climb is at or above 10% grade. The gradient on this climb is broken down as follows: 0.4 miles (3.9%) of descent; 2.8 miles (24.6%) at 0-5% grade; 7.2 miles (63%) at 5-10% grade; 1 miles (8.5%) at 10-15% grade; AND THIS IS JUST TO START THE DESCENT ON THE MOUNTAIN BIKE!
